Âme Soeur, meaning soul sisters and kindred spirits in French, is a collection of luxury bags and accessories, founded with love and care, by Bay Area soul sisters, Valerie and Sarah. 

Âme Soeur is more than a line of beautiful accessories: each bag produced is designed to fill the heart of the person who carries it.  The idea for Âme Soeur was inspired by two kindred spirits who both embodied the power of positive thinking: Sarah’s father, John, and Valerie’s grandmother, Juliette. Although they never met, and they lived distinctly different lives in different parts of the world, they shared a love of life and a positive outlook that helped them thrive into their late nineties.

“Oh Happy Day!” was John’s favorite phrase. He’d greet friends with it and sing it in the streets, lifting even strangers’ hearts with his contagious enthusiasm. As for Juliette, she embodied living life to the fullest. Even in times of adversity, every evening she’d say, “My hands are overflowing with all my blessings. My life is wonderful.”

Âme Soeur bags are imprinted with John & Juliette’s words of wisdom. The collection launched with John’s signature phrase “Oh Happy Day!” as a sweet reminder to celebrate the joy in everyday moments.
